Greetings. I am not at home so I just recieved your entey in my guest book.
What songs do you have for the bass voice. I particularly like moving songs; songs that have something important to say.
My top range is e flat usually. Bottom is e flat too.

I am quite impressed, Leslie. Who is the singer on the recording? She has an excellent voice.

Well, it seems you've gotten into the modern age -a web page and youtube videos. Or, is it really Pavel who is the techie?

The music is wonderfully written, and I enjoyed listening to it. Thanks a lot for sharing!

The missing verse is present in about half of the editions of the poem. I didn't know of it when I wrote this song. In retrospect, I think the poem has more unity without that verse, but I understand that Dickinson's publisher removed it without her permission. It is interesting that Copland's well known setting is also of the five-stanza version, probably because he also didn't know about the extra verse. Thank you for your input.

Lovely music -- thank you!
You probably know that the fourth stanza of "Because I could not stop for Death" is missing.
